 CHELITA, COMO ME DUELE QUERERTE

 THE PREMISE:

This project is the student film I wrote and directed inspired by the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. It follows a clumsy young baker trying to get his first love to recognize him after discovering she has become an Adelita (Female soldier) in the Mexican Revolution.

ENVIRONMENTS:

These are two of the backgrounds I made to set the style of film's environments. They were influenced by urban sketch styles and that of old Disney films such as 101 Dalmatians. These two pieces helped me explore and understand how the style would work for both natural and man made environments.

 BRANDING:

My Favorite part of every project is getting to create its visual identity. Given that this film is inspired by a very specific era of film, I made sure to research and create a strong branding direction that fits the era and still has other nice call backs to different aspects of Mexican art and culture. I have included some posters, stickers, and other branding material that I have created.
